Spectrum by Equalis Health works with Blood Tech Diagnostics for at-home lab collection. Your Spectrum nurse practitioner orders the tests, and a certified phlebotomist collects them discreetly at your home or office.

Good to know
Spectrum patients pay Blood Tech Diagnostics directly for home collection. The tests on your requisition are processed by the lab as usual.
If you would rather not pay for a home visit, you can go to any APL patient service centre at no cost.
We share your details only with the lab and the clinician on your requisition, under Alberta's Health Information Act.
Home collection for Spectrum patients is offered in both cities. Choose your area when you book.

About Spectrum by Equalis Health

Do I need a requisition?
Yes. Your Spectrum nurse practitioner sends your lab requisition. Have it ready at the visit or attach it when you email your request.
Do I need to fast?
Your requisition will say if any test needs fasting. If you are not sure, tell us when you book and we will check.
How much does the home visit cost?
Spectrum patients pay Blood Tech Diagnostics directly for the visit. Call 403-614-0078 for the current price. Collection at an APL patient service centre is free.
Who sees my results?
Results go to the clinician on your requisition through the lab. Blood Tech Diagnostics does not receive or keep your results.
Can I book every three months?
Yes. Many PrEP patients book a regular visit around their renewal. Choose "Regular visits" when you book.
Blood Tech Diagnostics Inc. is an independent mobile lab collection service. Spectrum by Equalis Health is a separate clinic and is responsible for your medical care, prescriptions and test orders.
