Calgary's lab, on wheels
Blood Tech Diagnostics Inc. brings professional laboratory collection to where people live and work. We started it because a blood test shouldn't mean a long morning in a waiting room, especially for seniors, parents and anyone who's fasting.
Our certified phlebotomists visit homes, offices, seniors residences and clinics across Calgary and the surrounding areas. Founded by Jordan Bretiller, we run on simple promises: arrive on time, be gentle, and keep your health information private.

Common questions
Do I need a doctor's requisition?
For doctor-ordered blood work, yes. Have it ready at the visit or send it with your request. Private tests like hormone, STI and wellness panels don't need a doctor's visit.
Are the lab tests covered by Alberta Health?
Tests your doctor orders are usually publicly covered, so you pay only for the home visit. Private tests are self-paid. Many health spending accounts and benefit plans accept our receipts.
How early can you come for a fasting test?
Weekday visits start at 7 AM and Saturday visits at 8 AM. Early slots fill first, so book a day or two ahead.
What areas do you cover?
All of Calgary and the surrounding areas, including Airdrie, Cochrane, Okotoks and Chestermere. On an acreage? Call 403-614-0078.
How do I get my results?
For doctor-ordered tests, results go to the provider on your requisition through the lab. For private tests, results are sent privately to you.
Can you see children or people who are nervous about needles?
Yes. Tell us when you book and we'll allow extra time. Many people find a calm visit at home much easier than a busy lab.
How do I book a blood test in Calgary?

Is Blood Tech the same as APL home collection?
No. Blood Tech Diagnostics is an independent, private mobile blood collection service that anyone can book. Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) runs its own home-collection program for patients who meet its criteria.
Do you offer walk-in blood work?
We don't run a walk-in lab. We come to you instead, so there's no waiting room. Early-morning and Saturday appointments are available.
Can I get a private blood test without a doctor?
Yes, for private tests such as hormone, STI and wellness panels. Book a private test and we collect it at home. Results are sent to you.
