At-home ECG in Calgary
Need an electrocardiogram but would rather skip the clinic? We bring the ECG to your home, office or seniors residence, and can collect blood work at the same visit.
An ECG without the trip
An ECG records your heart's electrical activity through small sticky pads on your skin. It takes a few minutes and doesn't hurt.
Need blood work too? We can do both at the same appointment.
We come to homes and seniors residences, so there is no need to travel.
Your ECG report goes to your doctor, or to you for a private test.
Where to get an ECG done in Calgary
You can have an ECG at a clinic or hospital, or book an at-home ECG with Blood Tech Diagnostics and have the test done where you live or work.
How to prepare. Wear a top that is easy to open or lift, and avoid lotion or oil on your chest on the day of the test. Have your requisition ready if your doctor ordered the ECG.
How long it takes. The recording itself takes a few minutes. Plan for about twenty minutes in total.

What is an ECG?
An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) records the electrical activity of your heart using small sticky pads placed on your chest, arms and legs.
Do I need a requisition for an ECG?
Most ECGs are ordered by a doctor, so have your requisition ready at the visit. Call 403-614-0078 if you are not sure.
How long does an at-home ECG take?
The recording takes a few minutes. Plan for about twenty minutes in total.
Can you do blood work at the same visit?
Yes. Mention it when you book and we will do your blood draw and ECG together.
Do you offer ECGs outside Calgary?
